Georgian Film Glossary is the result of glossary research and collaboration project. The team of experts reviewed over 20,000 industry terms in film, TV and multimedia and compiled a glossary of some 4,000 terms, broken down in relevant subject areas such as producing, screenwriting, editing, etc. Georgian equivalents and short descriptions of the terms were also provided.
After a lengthy review the work was published as a hardback and made freely available online at Innovative Systems Institute's online glossary collaboration tool, where anyone can search for or browse the terms, as well as provide feedback and suggest terms.
The glossary is available online at: glossary.ac.ge
The electronic version of the print book is available at: glossary.georgianfilm.com
Supported by Georgian National Film Center, Innovative Systems Institute, Ministry of Culture of Georgia, and undertaken by GFM Filmbridge.
The project is being carried out in partnership with Innovative Systems Institute, Shota Rustaveli Theatre and Film University, and Arnold Chikobava Institute of Linguistics.
The published version is Public Review v1108, an ongoing draft intended for initial presentation and public review. Feedback can be directed to glossary_AT_georgianfilm.com, or by using the Suggest feature at each term.
